Cedarbend Plumbing & Heating
This is the kind of report you get from a free Valley Found audit. You also get a short video of me walking through it on screen, so you can see each problem for yourself.
Overall
Good business, hard to find.
1 · Where you show up on Google Maps
You're on page two for your main search.
I searched from three spots in Chilliwack, the way a homeowner would on their phone.
| Search | From | Your map position |
|---|---|---|
| plumber Chilliwack | Downtown | #7 |
| furnace repair Chilliwack | Sardis | #11 |
| plumber near me | Promontory | Not in top 20 |
Most calls go to the top three map results. Positions change daily, so these are a snapshot.
2 · Your Google Business Profile
Half set up. The missing half is what Google uses to rank you.
- ✓Claimed and verified Good. You control the listing.
- !Category is "Plumber" only Add "Heating contractor" and "Water heater installation service" so you show up for furnace and tank searches.
- ✕No service areas listed Google doesn't know you work in Sardis, Promontory or Yarrow.
- ✕4 photos, last added 2 years ago Listings with recent job photos get more clicks. Aim for 2 to 3 new ones a week.
- ✕No description or services list These are free spots to tell Google (and customers) exactly what you do.
- !No posts in the last 6 months A short weekly post shows Google the business is active.
3 · Reviews vs. local competitors
The top three have 3 to 5 times more reviews.
| Business | Rating | Reviews | Newest review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Competitor A | 4.8 | 142 | 3 days ago |
| Competitor B | 4.7 | 96 | 1 week ago |
| Competitor C | 4.9 | 71 | 2 weeks ago |
| Cedarbend (you) | 4.9 | 23 | 5 months ago |
Your rating is great. The problem is how many reviews you have and how recent they are. A simple text after each job usually fixes this within a few months.
4 · Your website
Looks fine, but doesn't help you get found.
- ✓Works on phones
- ✕No tap-to-call button Phone number is in the footer only.
- ✕No town pages Only says "Fraser Valley".
- !Slow to load on mobile About 6 seconds.
5 · Answering leads
I called on a Tuesday at 2 pm.
- ✕Went to voicemail Most people don't leave one. They call the next listing.
- ✕No text back A quick automatic text would have kept me.
- ✓Called back next morning Friendly, but by then most people have booked someone else.
The one fix that would help most
Fill in the Google profile, then start asking for reviews.
It's free, it's the biggest gap, and it's what Google weighs most for map results.
- This week: add the two extra categories, your service towns, a description and your services list.
- Every job: text the customer your review link. Aim for 2 to 3 new reviews a week.
- Every week: add a few job photos and one short post.
- Next: a missed-call text-back, so callers like me don't slip away.
You can do all of this yourself. If you'd rather I handle it, that's what the Get Found package is for.
